New Grass Germination System Now Available from Headland BlueYellow is an innovative new turf establishment system engineered to provide optimal germination while preventing seed migration.
It consists of a uniformly distributed, precisely calibrated blend of seed and pre-seeder fertiliser encapsulated between two sheets of 100% biodegradable paper and is delivered in 100m2 lightweight rolls To create perfect, lush turf you simply prepare the site as for conventional seeding, unroll the mat, water thoroughly and keep moist. RAKE… ROLL… RAIN… RELAX
With adequate water and sunshine, you will have beautiful, lush turf within 4 to 6 weeks. The mat will have started to biodegrade and will no longer be visible.
BlueYellow adheres to the soil once it is watered, making the product ideal for slopes and sand-based tees and greens. It is also easily contoured around trees, flower and shrub beds, irrigation components, drainage inlets, bunkers and other obstacles
The cellulose-based substrate maintains its integrity for several weeks, holding the seed and fertiliser in place and providing protection from wind, washouts and other damaging factors. It also prevents the potential for contamination and costly re-work. Once its job is done the mat quickly biodegrades.
BlueYellow can be stored in a dry place for several months and be ready for use at your convenience. The simple installation process allows you to stop work in bad weather and to simply pick up where you left off when the weather improves.
