Throttle The best way to beat Fusarium PatchThrottle is a highly effective curative and preventative treatment for Fusarium Patch. It combines two highly active fungicides, each with a different mode of action – Prochloraz, a translaminar, and Tebuconazole, a systemic. Together they provide a high level of disease control in all types of established fine turf including golf tees and greens, bowling greens and sports pitches.
Where to useThrottle is approved for use on managed amenity turf, including sportsturf such as golf greens and tees, bowling greens and sports pitches, as well as lawns (in commercial and residential situations) Apply Throttle to established turf only. When to UseApply Throttle as soon as disease symptoms appear, or in the early stages of disease development. Alternatively, preventative application may be made before the onset of disease. Repeat once if necessary with an interval of at least 14 days. Do not apply when the turf is under stress, such as drought, waterlogging or extremes of hot or cold temperatures. How to UseThrottle can be applied using standard powered spray equipment, or pedestrian/walkover type equipment. Half fill the spray tank with clean water. Add the required quantity of Throttle and begin agitation. Add the remainder of the water. Maintain agitation during spraying. Always apply after cutting and do not mow for at least 24 hours. Timing and mode of actionIn order to make the best use of fungicides it is important to understand their mode of action and how that relates to timings and their use throughout the season. Most fungicides work at different stages in the disease life cycle.
Armed with the above information, you can decide the optimum product for each timing.

The systemic / contact tank-mix should be applied on a 3 – 4 week basis. If conditions have been conducive to growth, the shorter time interval should be utilised as more clippings and therefore more chemical will have been removed from the sward.
When conditions no longer favour systemic products, (e.g. low temperatures/lack of growth) stand-alone treatments of an Iprodione fungicide should be applied at the full recommended rate.
To avoid resistance build up, rotate mixtures of Strobilurins with Throttle and Iprodione mixtures as detailed earlier.
Apply the Iprodione product at the recommended rate for the severity of the disease mixed with the recommended full label rate of Strobilurin fungicide. (See specific product label for rates of use). Important: it is not recommended, because of concern over disease resistance, to reduce the rate of strobilurin containing fungicides. A maximum of two applications of strobilurin containing fungicides are allowed on turf in any one year.
When tank-mixing Throttle with Iprodione products, the Iprodione should always be added to the half-filled spray tank first and mixed into solution, before adding Throttle.
Apply after mowing and avoid mowing for at least 24 hours after application. In hard water areas where spray water is likely to be alkaline, a spray tank acidifier may be used to maximise the performance of the product.
